indiria-akka-smiling-smallClosing Artist: Indira Kadambi presents Varsha: Like the thirsty traveler pines for water and the soul waits for eternity, the parched earth forever directs its yearning towards the pregnant sky. The monsoon comes and with it, the hope of full fillment & plenty. The monsoon is generous. Song and tears of welcome herald the coming of the rains. Splashing in dampness, little children join in the laughter of the falling rain, mindless of everything else, carrying memories throughout their lives.

When Man defies nature, the monsoon bristles and floods and sweeps lives and possessions away in its fury. But when man is gentle, when songs of romance haunt the horizon, lighting up a deprived landscape, the monsoon carries messages to lovers & blesses their love with fulfillment.

Revel in this moment of madness, when love seeks love and life knows no death, and the music of the monsoon, the dance of the rain overwhelm our hearts and the spread of our land and leave us trembling in the hazy highlands of desire and fulfillment, of hope and fear, of promise and neglect, that unrecognized moment that cannot distinguish between the first and the last breath!
